Drugstore makeup haul- Recreating my HS look

I won a good sum in Target giftcards so I wanted to treat myself for some unnecessary makeup for my huge ass collection ^^”. From the things I’ve been dying to try, I essentially recreated the silver-taupe eye I was obsessed with in highschool (also wore this green top in HS). Without further ado:

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder: I’ve been holding off on buying this highly rated powder. Let me tell you, go buy it. ^^” It’s great to set your face and travel with if loose powder is a hassle.

Maybelline Falsies Mascara: I accidently bought the non-waterproof version, and hence, it was a disappointment. I have long straight lashes, so I find if its not waterproof at least, it can’t hold the lift and curl.

elf Complexion duo brush: I heard its a dupe for the it cosmetics, but haven’t tried it to know. I held off on buying this because I already had a lot of makeup brushes. I am here to tell you to buy it because its only $8 and has so many uses ^^”. I mainly use this for bronze/contour. The smaller brush side is perfect for nose contour and eyeshadow. It’s the perfect travel brush and getting-ready quick brush, because I just pick up the Milani bronzer and do it all in one go.

Milani Silky Matte Bronzing Powder: I held off on getting this highly raved about bronzer that is cooled-toned (so I use it as contour) but not too red since I was trying to finish other products. Now, this is a top product in my makeup bag because it hasn’t let me down. It’s so easy and doesn’t apply patchy, which I struggle with bronzing/contour powders.

Essence Taupe It Up! Eyeshadow Palette: I’ve been disappointed with the quality of their previous eyeshadow palettes. Let me tell you, this one is really good. The quality of the shadows are amazing and a great color scheme. I like how compact and small it is so its great on the go and for travel. Plus its $4 say whaaaat.

Milani Fettish Matte Lipstick in Tease: The whole line has a lot of shades that are dupes for high-end popular lipsticks. I’d say these are good matte lipsticks but they didn’t wow me. I would say if you don’t have a certain shade in your collection or want to dupe a high-end lipstick, I would go ahead and purchase. However, I have a lot of matte lipsticks in similar nude pink shades so this was okay.

Aaaaaand that’s my Target drug store haul! If you have any amazing, r.o.d drugstore makeup products, please recommend me some! ❤

Love,

K
