I really wish skincare comes in a refillable version, because having so many jars is so unsustainable. In 2020 I went through 3 Nature Republic’s Aqua combination watery cream , 2 Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid travel sizes, a Tatcha mask, a Bobbi Brown’s Cleansing Oil, a Meebak’s Cica and Vitamin C serum , a innisfree Black Tea mask, and a Laneige’s Lip Sleeping Mask in Grapefruit. Would I repurchase any of these? Lets find out:
Nature Republic’s Aqua combination watery cream : I still think this is a great moisturizer for normal to oily skin types. However, I find I need to use thicker mositurizing creams at night and during the day, my sunscreen is also my moisturizer. Hence, I won’t be repurchasing these but I still recommend them!
Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Paula’s Choice BHA: I will use this for the rest of my life, haha. This is still a holy grail product that I use 2-3 times a week. I will still be repurchasing when I run out.
Tatcha Violet C Mask: It’s a nice mask with a lux experience. It made my skin very soft afterwards, but it is very pricey. Hence, I do not think it is worth it and I won’t be repurchasing. I think it will be better to invest in a Vitamin C serum and a AHA exfoliator for a better price to get the same effect.
Bobbi Brown’s Cleansing Oil : I looove this cleansing oil. It has a light smell of jasmine which I really like and it took me forever to finishing this bottle. However, it is pricey and there are cheaper cleansing oils in the market with the same cleansing experience. Therefore, I won’t be repurchasing this.
Meebak’s Cica and Vitamin C serum : I will use this for the rest of my life, haha. This is still a holy grail product that I use every morning with my sunscreen. I will still be repurchasing when I run out.
innisfree Black Tea mask: This mask has a light gel consistency and has black tea particles throughout the formula. It is very refreshing and hydrating with tea antioxidants. However, I think using a good moisturizer and Vitamin C is enough so the mask is unnecessary. I won’t be repurchasing, but I would recommend this if you would like an affordable mask to splurge on.
Laneige’s Lip Sleeping Mask in Grapefruit: I love this lip mask and the grapefruit flavor. I currently am trying and finishing many lip balms and masks so I won’t be repurchasing this for a while. I still highly recommend this as a lip balm for the nighttime and an effortless glossy lip for the day time. It is pretty pricey on Sephora, so I highly recommend buying this on other websites for almost $10. For a cheaper price, it is definitely worth the money with how much product you get in each tub.
Aaaaand these are my 2020 skincare empties! Let me know which ones you have tried or interested in. I’d loved to know what products you have used up and rave about as well!
Love,
K
